Alexandrite glass, or Neodymium, has special chemical qualities that enable it to change colors depending on the lighting source it's viewed in. In natural outdoor lighting, this piece turns purple, while under fluorescent lighting it immediately turns to blueshade. It's EXTREMELY rare and mostly found in sea glass form on a specific beach in Russia.
This authentic, flawless sea glass piece is wrapped together with an abalone mosaic shell cab in 16G silver-over-copper wire treated to be tarnish resistant.
Pendant measures 2.5” from the top of the bail to the bottom, is 1.5” wide.
