Colorful art glass piece from England is wrapped bezel style with thick, 16 gauge silver-over-copper wire, treated to be tarnish resistant.
This type of glass was mainly used for decorative vases and such. The pieces I obtained were found along the Thames estuary, where folks commonly cast away all sorts of glass, pottery, and historical items many years ago. In order to facilitate a clean bezel wire wrap for this piece, I used a Dremel to smooth a few of the jagged, sharp edges before applying the wrap.
It comes displayed on an 18” silver plated chain with an additional 2” extension if more length is desired.
Pendant measures 3” from the top of it’s bail to the bottom.
