Colorful splatter glass piece from England is wrapped bezel style in silver-over-copper wire, treated to be tarnish resistant.
Splatter glass was mainly used for decorative vases and such. The pieces I obtained were found along the Thames estuary, where folks commonly cast away all sorts of glass, pottery, and historical items many years ago. In order to facilitate a clean bezel wire wrap for these pieces, I used a Dremel to smooth a few of the jagged, sharp edges before applying the wrap. The red glass backing of the piece shines through to the front of the pendant, and can clearly be seen in the splatter patterned front.
The pendant comes presented on an 18” antique silver spiral chain.
Pendant measures 2.3” from the top of it’s bail to the bottom
