Ikaros pottery has always been a favorite of mine, not only for it's colorful, handpainted patterns, but for it's rarity and interesting history. Here's a link with lots of info. and pictures if you'd like to learn more about Ikaros and see additional photos: http://www.ceramopolis.com/?page_id=692
Each beautiful and colorful Ikaros sea pottery piece I use in my jewelry designs comes from the shorelines of Rhodes, Greece, the very same city in which it was originally made. These pieces are now quite rare to find, but a joy for me to transform into beautiful jewelry pieces meant to be worn often and loved much!
The piece is wrapped “bezel style” with 18 gauge, silver-over-copper wire treated to be tarnish resistant.
Pendant comes displayed on a 24“ silver curb chain.
Need your chain length a bit shorter? No problem! Please leave a note during check out (or by private message or e-mail) with your desired chain length and it shall be done!
Pendant measures 2.25“ from the top of it’s bail to the bottom, and is 1.25“ at it’s widest point.
