Alexandrite glass, or Neodymium, has special chemical qualities that enable it to change colors depending on the lighting source it's viewed in. In natural outdoor lighting, this piece turns pinkish/purple, while under fluorescent lighting it immediately turns to more of a greyish/blue lavender shade. It's EXTREMELY rare and mostly found in sea glass form on a specific beach in Russia.
I wrapped this piece with silver-over-copper wire, treated to be tarnish resistant.
Please refer to the coin in the photo for size reference.
Second pic shows it’s color change.
Pendant comes presented on an 18” silver plated chain with an additional extension for more length if needed.
