Colorful, statement-making splatter glass piece from England is wrapped bezel style in layers of 16 gauge, silver-over-copper wire, treated to be tarnish resistant. This piece looks to have been part of a vase bottom.
Splatter glass was mainly used for decorative vases and such. The pieces I obtained were found along the Thames estuary, where folks commonly cast away all sorts of glass, pottery, and historical items many years ago. In order to facilitate a clean bezel wire wrap for these pieces, I used a Dremel to smooth a few of the jagged, sharp edges before applying the wrap. The yellow glass backing of the piece shines through to the front of the pendant and can be seen in the splatter patterned front.
Comes presented on an 18” silver plated, twisted style neck wire that’s very comfortable to wear.
Not into neck wires? No problem! It can be swapped out for an 18” silver plated, 3mm thick chain instead. Please make note of the swap during check out (or send a private message ...or both) and it shall be done.
Pendant measures 4” from the top of it’s bail to the bottom and is 2” in width.
